  • Participated in meetings with staff at the American Petroleum Institute Washington, DC 20036 and the U.S. Green Building Council. Attended hearings on The Hill,as well as a Supreme Court case pertaining to environmental issues.
Experience
Education Assistant Intern, Ross Park Zoo                
(May-September, 2014)
  • Researched animal information and enrichment techniques. Assisted with fundraising and special events. Led on-site education programs. Created artifact tables, and exhibit and animal spotlights. Received handling training for education collection animals.  Supervised Junior Docents (teen volunteers ages 14-17) on a daily basis. 

Beyond Coal Campaign Intern, The Sierra Club
(August-December, 2012)
  • Actively worked to stop coal production while encouraging clean energy investing. Attended Washington, DC and documented 2013 Planning Sessions in NJ and NY. Conducted research, created spreadsheetanalyses of energy use (in D.C., VA and MD), produced surveys and attended environmental rallies.Worked full time.

  • Trained new employees, responsible for opening and closing the store, and was held Plattsburgh, NYaccountable for handling all end of day cash-outs.

  • Greeted and sat customers, fielded customer requests, maintained cleanliness within Binghamton, NYthe restaurant, and operated the cash register. Worked full time seasonally.
